I’m Cheyenne Steward, a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) with a passion for all things furry and four-legged. Originally from central Vermont, I graduated from Vermont Technical College in 2017 and passed my VTNE shortly after. I’ve worked in small animal general practice, but I’ve also dipped my paws into cardiology, internal medicine, oncology, and even pet insurance. My family and I recently traded snow for sunshine when we moved to Houston, Texas, after my husband took on a flight controller role at NASA.
When I’m not caring for pets, you can find me hiking, pickling random food items, camping, reading, or catching a good theater show. I also have a bit of a quirky side—I make my own bar soap and have an unhealthy obsession with Christmas (think Buddy the Elf but in female form).
I share my home with four furry companions: Mia, our pug who answers to “Puglet” or “Potato Bean”; Harper, the North American semi-aquatic house hippo (aka a black mouth cur mix); and my two cats, Binx and Kimchi, who were a product of the cat distribution system at one of my past vet clinics!
