Alicia Laurin graduated from Ashworth College with her Veterinary Assistant diploma in 2021, but her experience caring for animals began well before then. Her early volunteer work included animal shelters, veterinary clinics, and fundraising events, all of which helped turn her lifelong interest in animal care into a career.
After gaining experience in small animal practice, Alicia worked at Willow Grove in animal wellness and integrative medicine. There, she found a particular passion for helping sensitive and fearful patients. She became Fear Free certified in 2023 and completed a Canine Hydrotherapy certification with honours in 2024.
Alicia is excited to continue building her skills in urgent care as part of our team and to bring compassion and patience to both patient and client care. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys learning about canine behaviour with Jasper, her Border Collie, and spending time with her rescue cat, Rolo.
